Certification

Not every
Hardox® is real Hardox.

OMNIS is a certified Hardox® Wearparts center — part of the global network run by the Swedish steelmaker SSAB and one of only two such centers in Serbia. The certificate is not a sticker: it means the material is genuine and that our cutting, bending and welding procedures are approved by the steelmaker.

Badly welded Hardox loses hardness in the heat-affected zone and cracks exactly where the load is highest. That is why we work to SSAB procedures, and why our tools outlast the cheaper alternative.

How a tool is made

From measurement to site

01

Dimensions and material

We need the machine make and model, the distance between the mounting ears (dimension A) and the pin diameter (dimension B). Tell us what the machine works in as well — soil, gravel, limestone or rubble. The material decides the plate thickness and steel grade, not the other way round.

02

Design

We draw the mounting from our archive or from the dimensions you send. If we can see that your current tool always fails in the same place, we propose a design change rather than copying the fault.

03

Cutting, bending, welding

The plate is cut, formed and welded to procedures approved for Hardox® steel. Heat input and preheating follow the specification, because that is where it is decided whether the tool cracks in service.

04

Teeth, edges and paint

Teeth and adapters of the right grade go on, along with a replaceable front cutting edge. The tool is blasted and painted, then shipped or fitted at your location.

05

Repair when the time comes

A worn bucket does not have to be scrapped. We return it to service with HARDOX® plate where wear is heaviest, and convert the mounting if the tool moves to a different machine.

Where our tools work

Nine industries,
nine kinds of wear

Quarrying and mining
XHD buckets with extra armouring, rippers and loading buckets for the most abrasive material.
Metal recycling
Orange peel grapples with HARDOX® tines and loading buckets with hold-down clamps.
Glass recycling
Wear solutions for environments where ordinary steel is gone within months.
Concrete plants
Loading buckets with replaceable 500 HB edges and mixing buckets for small batches on site.
Steelworks
Purpose-built hot slag buckets for work at temperatures above 1000 °C.
Water management
Ditch cleaning and screening buckets for desilting watercourses and clearing canals.

Two dimensions and a machine.
That is all we need.

Most enquiries stall because the mounting details are missing. Measure the distance between the ears and the pin diameter, add a photo of the mounting if you can — and the quote comes back the same or the next working day.

B — pin diameter
A photo of the mounting is always welcome.

Frequently asked

What people ask us most

Two dimensions are needed. Dimension A is the distance between the mounting ears on the excavator arm, measured on the inside. Dimension B is the pin diameter. Send those together with the machine make and model and, if possible, a side-on photo of the mounting. From that we either take the mounting from our archive or draw a new one.
Standard bucket and coupler sizes are held in stock and ship straight away. Made-to-order tools depend on the type and the workshop load — you get the exact lead time with the quote, not afterwards. Priority delivery is available for Hardox® Wearparts customers.
It is worth it wherever there is abrasion. In soil and soft material, structural steel is perfectly adequate and there is no reason to pay more. In gravel, limestone, rubble and recycling the difference in service life is several times over, so the cost per working hour is lower even though the tool costs more. That is why we always ask what the machine works in before quoting.
Yes. The makes listed on the site are the ones we see most often, but we build the mounting from measurements, not from a list. If the machine is unusual or the mounting has already been modified, send photos and dimensions and we will come out to site if needed.
We can, and it is often cheaper than a new one. We handle repair, reinforcement with HARDOX® plate where wear is heaviest, replacement of edges and teeth, and conversion of the mounting when the tool moves to a different machine. Service is carried out in our workshop or, where necessary, at your location.
We do. Our customers include companies at home and abroad, and as a member of the Hardox® Wearparts network we also work with centers in other countries. Delivery terms are agreed together with the quote.
